This image shows a quickly constructed block of three aviaries, needed urgently to provide homes for new scalies.
Contructed from 50mm square rough finished timber and sheets of 7mm plywood each aviary is 2.4 metres long, 1.2 metres wide and 2 metres high. The entrance doors are at the front end of each aviary, as yet no safety area is in front of the doors therefore entering or exiting an avairy needs care to prevent birds escaping.
The ground was levelled and covered with rough scoria, the aviaries were set on the scoria.
