Edwards Lorikeet

Inquisitive Edwards Lorikeets, these are a variation on the more common rainbow lorikeet. Chest plumage is a bright yellow/orange with the collar being bright yellow. There appears to be a lack of blue and red colours in the plumage which leaves an overall impression of a yellow and green bird.
Pictured here a few days after arriving at our avairy they are in excellent condition although the female had all the symptoms of a cold when she arrived, however she quickly recovered.
