This is a female musk lorikeet, about 9 months old.
She has an extremely neat appearance with hardly a feather out of place, her even green colour and bright red patches making her a very attractive bird.
She is quite friendly and is almost jumping on to a hand or arm offered as a perch but is still just a little nervous. Her quick sideways movement along a perch is quite amusing, she seems to be always on the move.
