This is one of the five green scalies, the offspring of the breeding pair.
This scaly appears to be a female and has a rather peculiar head plumage
where instead of a blue tinged green on the top of the head and a green head/
neck usual with green scalies, she has a ticked black/green pattern of
feathers over most of her head. This gives her a 'wet head' appearance.
She is extremely shy and was bullied by the other four green scalies. We
moved her to an aviary with a young male rainbow (Button) and within a few days
they were best of friends, sleeping together, sharing food, and preening
each other.
Although Button is very human friendly the scaly, now named Lacey is still
quite shy although very very slowly she is starting to tolerate human company.
